The "Saint Francis Caritas" Charity Foundation in Vylok is a newly established charity, it was established in the spring of 2023, just when it was most needed. Its founder and dreamer is also its current leader, Antal Engli, who noticed that there were more and more needy people around him who needed help and started doing what he could, thus the caritas in Vylok was created. As the war progressed, more and more people found themselves in difficult situations, and today even those who would not have accepted help before are in need of help. And unfortunately, this trend has not stopped yet, the number of people in need is increasing. To help starving people, a small social kitchen started operating in a private house (the house of the manager's grandmother). At first, they only cooked for a few people, but today, on average, 120-130 hot lunches are prepared 3 times a week.

The caritas in Vylok bears the name of St. Francis. Since it was recently established, they are full of plans, the first step to the implementation of which is to move into a suitable building. We have already managed to find a suitable building in Vylok, the purchase will be realised with the assistance of a foundation. The building is being renovated, the windows, doors and the electrical cables have been replaced, the other internal works are in progress.

After the renovation of the building, our plans are as follows:

- we create the necessary conditions for the operation of the social kitchen, if necessary we can increase the number of hot lunches if there is a demand for them,

- creation of a warehouse for storing donations,

-we want to create day care for elderly pensioners

- creation of office space for charity workers,

- creation of a salt room to alleviate the symptoms of people suffering from asthma and other respiratory diseases.

The purpose of establishing the caritas is to provide social support and help people in need living in and around Vylok, regardless of their nationality or religion. The social kitchen is still operating, although the conditions here are not entirely suitable. If we succeed in renovating the building, the kitchen would move here, thus we could create suitable conditions for the kitchen workers. Also, with the commissioning of the building, new charitable projects can be realized. All of this can be the basis for operating a long-term and well-functioning support system.
